Gotta say, that is one cool looking sword!

I would like your permission to use this photo as a reference photo that I did for one of my drawings. At first it started out as a tattoo idea, but one idea lead to another, and now I'm left with an image that I want to post on Deviantart. I know I should've asked you first before I created the image, but at the time I was messing around. I will be providing a link to this image, I just wanted to get your permission first before I post anything. If you don't want me to post it, then I wont.

I am rather curious if you would make this again as a commission. I am a potential buyer if you are willing to make another and would like to discuss this in further detail. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Thank you for your interest!  Unfortunately, I wouldn't make this again as a commission.  It was a tedious prop to make, and I'm not fond of the idea of making the exact same prop over again :P .  In general, I don't take commissions on props this large because of the cost and labor involved.  This sword took me about 60-70 hours to make, and the materials were around $75.  I'm sure there are other prop makers out there who would be willing to make it.  Good luck!

You spent 75$ making this? I think you may have overspent because you can make it wayyyyyy cheaper than that o.0

Yeah, in the past I have made a Master Sword or two for around $20, but the materials and paints that I used were cheap.  A few years later and the paint has drastically faded and it's wrinkling/cracking in places even without use.  I've since learned that buying quality materials is a must.  For this prop, I did spray paint tests and the paint that I liked was the high priced spray lacquer.  I had to use a special clear coat that wouldn't dull the metallic finish.  A good chunk of the materials cost is devoted to the paint.  I used about $20-$30 of Worbla, which makes the prop very sturdy.  As a result, I have a prop that will stay pretty and mostly unscathed for years.  Also, I personally think $75 is not bad for prop materials cost.  I have seen props like this made by professional prop makers that cost over $100 in materials alone.  Sorry this is so long but I thought it would help to explain :)

Haha, no problem!  I don't mind criticism, but in this case it definitely was the angle of the photo since point-and-shoot cameras are great at distorting things.  I agree about the size of the sword and I made it bigger than it looks in the photo (just over 48" long and around 13" wide at the hilt).  The sheer length makes the handle look proportionately tiny :P .  Hilariously, the sword still has a tendency to look shorter in photos, and somehow I feel like I could have made it even bigger!

It's really nice. You should make a mold if it and cast it (with a support rod in the middle) and sell a couple

I might consider that someday after I have learned more about casting and have done some serious practice.  However, I would probably have to make a new sword since this one has too many little surface imperfections.

It looks amazing!
I hope you don mind some criticism, but the handle is a little short. The master sword in Twilight Princess and Skyward sword is a bastard sword, aka a hand and a half sword. So it can be used one handed or two handed,
